We originally planned to end our summer with a 22-hour drive to Halifax, Nova Scotia. That’s until Amber bought a puppy spur-of-the-moment. His name’s Marty. I’ll probably post pictures of him soon. We’re still trying to see if we like each other. Anyway, Marty’s four months old and too savage for Grandma to watch him for more than a few nights. So we shortened our trip and drove eight hours to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
I envisioned Rehoboth Beach as a Gatsby-ish place where people use “summer” as a verb. And there’s some of that. Just check out the five million dollar homes near the boardwalk. But Rehoboth is also laid back and inclusive. More importantly, I think it has the biggest and cleanest beach boardwalk I’ve seen. If you’re looking for a classic beach town for the fam, Rehoboth’s your spot. Here are some pictures from our trip. (Shout-out to my Pixel 9 Pro for the Night Sight picture above.)
